Shosin: Have a Beginner's Mind

Shoshin (初心) is a word from Zen Buddhism meaning “beginner’s mind.” It refers to having an attitude of openness, eagerness, and lack of preconceptions when studying a subject, even when studying at an advanced level, just as a beginner would. What this looks like in practice is we approach everything with an attitude of openness even if we’re an expert. It means remaining curious and open to possibilities. This allows us to creatively solve problems and ask the important questions to continue to provide better solutions for our customers.

We have fun at work. Our weekly fun facts about coworkers are one of the highlights of the week along with weekly team happy hours where we play games like Scattegories and Loteria. One coworker has a feather growing out of his cheek, another worked at a dollhouse factory, and one met a famous MMA fighter. We embrace fun and quirky and encourage you to bring your whole self to work. And of course to laugh!
